The Artist
Diana, an American-Romanian visual artist, currently residing in the States. She received her Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) degree from George Mason University in 2021. Diana’s artistic journey has been shaped by her experiences on both sides of the Atlantic—studying in the United States and Europe.
Her childhood was marked by extensive travel throughout European nations, providing her with a rich tapestry of cultural influences. As she transitioned into young adulthood, Diana explored the diverse landscapes of Northern, Latin, and Southern America, as well as the captivating beauty of Asia, spending time primarily in Japan. These cross-continental adventures continue to inspire her work.

THE ART
Diana's work moves between two distinct visual languages: the precision of hyperrealistic drawing and the fluid, meditative forms of traditional Japanese calligraphy and stone seal carving. One practice captures the external world with meticulous detail; the other distills emotion through brush, ink, and carved stone. Together, they create a quiet tension—between control and spontaneity, realism and abstraction, permanence and impermanence.
